#JustStart
‘‘Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.’’ _ Arthur Ashe
The first step to achieve something is to just start it. You can only gain what you sow. After deciding your goal, you have to make a map that how you are going to get there. Once you have a map just start taking steps towards that goal. Small steps can be very helpful, you can’t reach on the top without starting from the bottom.
So now I’ll talk about my smart goal. My smart goal for now is to improve my reading and writing skills, so the first step towards that would be to start from reading books. It would be more smart to know which is the best book for a beginner to start from. So I did a lot of research in that manner and I found the most recommended book that one should read before entering his/her professional life. The book is ‘‘THE ALCHEMIST’’ by Paulo Coelho.
‘‘The Alchemist’’ by Paulo Coelho is an inspirational story of Santiago, a youthful Spanish shepherd in the rolling hills of Andalusia. The genre of the novel is quest, adventure fiction and fantasy fiction.
I myself am a big fan of adventure, fantasy and fiction. So it was a best choice for me to start with. But the main problem is that I don’t like to read, I’ve never acquired the taste for reading. Now I’m trying to overcome my fear of reading .I already feel good after reading a few pages. I’m on my road to achieve my goals by taking the initial step. I would try to write when I finish my first book and share my feelings and experience after completing it.
In the end I would like to add a few lines of poetry by Allama Iqbal that inspires me:
amal se zindagi banti ha jannat bhi jahanam bhi
ye khaki apni fitrat main na noori ha na nari ha
